Oh yeah, I believe this is the fifth blog I blogged first on. Can you believe it? I can. I definitely can.

So, the most recent book I read is Seeing Red. But I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to advertise.

THIS PREVIEW HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR ALL AGES BY THE BLOGGING ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA

It all started on January 3rd, 2008. It was the blog, the blog that began one of the most acclaimed blogs of all time. But then, it all disappeared.

This summer, a hero will rise. The defender of blogs will start back at the beginning, and blog of books again.

" Summer Reading."

Hayden's back.

He blogged of a hero, a cow of the divine.

He saved the cradle of a blog, and let it rest in peace.

He triuphed over the armies of evil.

On June 20th,

The adventure continues.

" Not as easy as it used to be."

Okay- back on track for SUMMER READING Mr. Royster! You have your own blog to delight and amaze us. Do you want a new one? I'll make it happen so you move up in the blog line.
;-)

I just finished The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor. It was AWESOME! I thought it was very creative... and I like the way he combined the original storyline with his own twists. Redd... she's a wicked antagonist! "Off with their heads" is taken to a whole new level.

I am in the middle of book 2, Seeing Redd. Hayden, have to gotten to the point where Hatter reads the diary? :-) Great plot twist!

Keep reading my little bloggers! I'll keep a running total of the number of books I have read on the blog homepage. Make it a priority- it will get you ready for 7th grade literacy!

xoxo

PS I had a FANTASTIC year with all of you. It went by so fast!

“SUMMER BLOG”

WELL, WELL-
(TURNING CAPS LOCK off)
Well, well. It's good to be back in the old reading blog again. I remember sitting down to do this a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far- I won't go into that. But it's a distant memory. Recently, I've taken to blogging without guidelines. Now there, my friends, is insanity at it's highest. Randomness at it's highest, with such classic examples as random letters, inside jokes, talking to oneself, trying to answer the unanswered questions of the world(ex: How many licks does it take to finish a Tootsie Pop) and many things that would boggle you simpletons. But what I really think I've been craving is insanity in a structured blog. So folks, this is my first reading blog of the summer, with many more to come.

All right. So, anybody ever wondered if parrots could do comedy? I mean, you'd have to have, like, some guy talking into a little Bluetooth (that is the stupidest name for a phone. Why not, “Excalibur," or, " The Wavelink.") on the parrot, so he could repeat everything.

“Hello, everybody, it's great to be back here at Petco."

“HELLO, EVERYBODY, IT'S GREAT TO BE HERE AT PETCO."

“I haven't been here since I needed bird food, and let me tell you, that stuff doesn’t taste much different in or out."

"I HAVEN'T BEEN HERE SINCE I GOT MY BIRD FOOD, AND LET ME TELL YOU, THAT STUFF DOESN’T TASTE MUCH DIFFERENT IN OR OUT."

"I've started eating my bedding in my cage, so I have to fly when I sleep."

“I’VE STARTED EATING THE BEDDING IN MY CAGE, SO I HAVE TO FLY WHEN I SLEEP."

Now, this kind of comedy is based on faith, because at any moment a heckler could yell," I'm a stupid featherbrain!"

And as a parrot, it is its solemn duty to repeat everything it hears.

“I’M A STUPID FEATHERBRAIN."

Of course, the guy on the Bluetooth could like forget what he's doing or something.

“Start spreadin' the news, I'm leavin' today..."

"START SPREADIN' THE NEWS, I'M LEAVIN' TODAY."

Of course, there could be one slight difficulty.

"Another thing is the cockatiels. Will they ever shut up??!!??"

"POLLY WANT A CRACKER."

" No you stupid bird I said-"

"POLLY WANT A CRACKER, POLLY WANT A CRACKER, POLLY WANT A CRACKER."

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, man, did I miss doing that, I just recently finished "Land of the Silver Apples" by Nancy Farmer. Here is a synopsis, and I will not reveal if I wrote this or not.

"Jack, thirteen, is a bard-in-training, and is learning to use his magical powers. He must save his sister Lucy who was taken by elves, before she is trapped underground forever. With the help of his friends Thorgil [a berserker], Pega [a slave girl], and two brave hobgoblins, Jack faces his fears and travels underground. Will he find Lucy and save her before it's too late?"-Mrs.Duncan

Okay so I stole it. From Start Talking Plot. But if you want my synopsis, hey. Here it is.

There's this kid name Jack, the protagonist, a name you kids are not acquainted with, an apprentice to a Bard, a storyteller and a wizard of sorts. But one night, one single event will change the course of his life forever, sending the son of Harry on a perilous quest for the Elder Wand so he may destroy the resurrected Voldermort once and for all, and Hogwarts will rest in peace.

Jack Potter and the Rebirth of Voldermort by H.J. Royster

Joking. Actually, his " sister" (notice the quotations) is captured by elves, and with the help of Thorgil, a slave set free named Pega, a two sided heir of Lancelot, as well as the usual suspects, and the new( Bugaboo and his Nemesis) he must rescue his sister underground.

Yes it is a fantastic book. And you better read "The Sea of Trolls" first. It will benefit you greatly.

We should get Allie on here.

Buh- bye.

Armageddon is coming. I'm here now.

Hayden, you are slowly moving up in my document labeled "Funny Quotes." Give yourself a great big hug! One day you will surpass even Katelyn.

So I am on the Summer Reading Blog, at last. I suppose I should start with what I've read to far. Ahem.

MRS. DUNCAN MRS. DUNCAN MRS. DUNCA

I finished Wildwood Dancing and Cybele's Secret. They were AMAZING! That looks so weird without a 'y' in it--but still! I can't believe I went so long without reading the first. And I'm going to start The Naming tonight. *clapclapclap*

Also, the next time I go to B&N, I'll look for the Mogranville (was that it?) vampire books. They sound really good. And I'm so excited--you guys read Seeing Redd? Is she not one of the most awesome villains ever? So intriguing. *evil grin*
