Find a significant passage or quote in your reading to share. Include the quote, book title and page #, and why you selected it [explain its meaning to the plot].
Yes! Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I made it! Yes, I've come in first, mad a home run. Yes, I will allow you to applaud wildly, even stand and cheer if you want, I don't mind at all, I welcome it! This is just the moment I have been waiting for my whole darn life! "I'd like to thank the Academy, of course." Yes! Booh-yah! Little Hayden Royster is now the official first blogger. Crown me blogging king and feed my Cheez-Itz!
Okay I'm done. It's time to follow the format.
I am reading the first Pendragon book, by... D.J. MacHale. " The second thing was I got launched through a wormhole called a "flume" and got jacked across the universe to a medieval planet called "Denduron" that's in the middle of a violent civil war." Page 1, Chapter 1.
Book 1.
Had to add that.
So the importance of this quote is monumentous, as it is a rather LARGE foreshadowing of what will happen in the future, and it explains what will happen. I believe that was redundant.
And so, with the pride that I have come in first on a brand spanking new blog, I bid thee...... goodbye.
Hayden, I'm so proud of you! Any how, I wanted to share my favorite quote Tally leaned foward, staring into the perfect copper eyes, wide and speckled with jewel dust, and her heartbeat still faster. that was from Pretties, which I finished ,hey Mrs. Duncan I was wondering,is Extras about Tally? just wondering....
Syd, The Extras does include Tally, but not until the end. It is worth the wait though- the author does a great job connecting the characters and plots.
You can borrow the book for the weekend, okay? Remind me on Friday and I'll check it out to you. xoxo
As for you Cowkid... I stand and steer [oops, I meant cheer] for you for being my first blogger on this post. You will LOVE the Pendragon series. I tried to get D.J. MacHale to send the galley copy of the next book, but he didn't want the plot secrets out. What do you think of the quigs? They change in every book.
Mrs. Duncan I was wondering is Tally's group called "the cutters" because they cut themselves for promises. Just wondering. I'm going to finish up Specials hopefully today or tommorow.... I'm dieing to read the Night tourist! After Extras of course! and my favorite quote so far: "Why does he(Zane) look so diffrent? It's like he's not the same person." "You're not the same person, Tally. You're special now, and he's just average."
I just want you to know Mrs. Duncan, and you Sydney, even though you probably don't even care what I write, cause you haven't read this book, so you might as well just skip this blog all together, so shoo, shoo, Sydney, of to whatever blog might interest you, that I have finished the Pendragon book, and I must say, I am disappointed, because... IAM SO FAR BEHIND IN THE SERIES AND I HAVE TO GET AHEAD AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE... Pendragon!!!!!!! Ahh! It is magnifico! Fantastico! I like it a lot-o! So yeah-o! I gotta go! O!
Check some other blog for the full rundown on Pendragon: The Merchant of Death-o!
Hayden, I did not read your blog. I promise. Cross my heart. Well, maybe I looked. ;-) You will love all of the Pendragon books. I did make a trip to Barnes and Noble this weekend- and I bought new books! You will need to look at the new titles as well... do some shopping.
Syd- The "Cutters" cut themselves because they thought that pain made their minds clear. They were attempting to escape the mind implants, kind of like Tally's bubbly feeling when she did scary things.
You will love the Night Tourist. Make sure you finish the Uglies series though- you need to read all 4 to complete the plot. ;-)
Is it me or are me and Hayden the only kids that blog? Any who I hope that Zane can join the cutters , well at least become Special that's always what Tally's wanted to do, for Zane to be with her. I just hope the same thing won't happen like what happened to her and David.

Okay I am going to blog now and I am reading New Moon here is my passage.
It was spring Break in Forks again. When I woke up on Monday morning, I lay in bed for a few seconds absorbing that,=. Last spring break, I'd been hunted by a vampire, too. I hoped this wasn't some kind of tradition forming. pg.342 New Moon by Stephenie Meyer Chapter 15. Pressure
I put a picture next to my name and ......... Yeah! Now back to the book. I'm half way through the book and so far it is the best book in the series so far. "Alex was fourteen, already well built with the body of an athelete.."
